This is a full-time role as an Architect/Senior Designer, based in Hillsborough, Co Down, Northern Ireland. There is generally a requirement to be in the office 5 days per week, although on-site working and home working will sometimes also be required/available.
This role is wide ranging and requires involvement from surveys, feasibility studies and budgeting, up to design development, technical submissions, fabrication drawings, on-site installation and contract management. The sectors of employment are also varied ranging from residential to commercial, civic and conservation, including interior fitouts, new and historic facades, and exterior landscapes and public realm works. The locations are ever growing, including Belfast, Dublin, Edinburgh, London, and increasingly in UAE. Regular short trips will be frequent.
The product range is more restrictive, focusing on natural stone, with some low carbon, sustainable alternatives. No natural stone experience is necessary but the following is essential:
- 10+ years of onsite experience
- 5+ years of contract management
- Ability with AutoCAD
- Being able to be self-motivated and lead a team
- Ability to react quickly and seize opportunities
- An outgoing personality who continually upsells
- Licence, passport and a love for travel
The following is desired:
- ARB or CITA registered
- Ability with Photoshop
- Ability with surveying equipment
