LOCATION: CARRICKFERGUS, CO. ANTRIM
POSITION: MOBILE PLANT OPERATOR
PERMANENT FULL TIME - £35,300 + overtime
The Role: Due to continued growth, Irish Salt Mining requires a full-time plant operator at the Kilroot Salt Mine in Carrickfergus. This involves driving 40 tonne articulated dump trucks and other heavy plant in the underground salt mine.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in operating mobile plant.
- Ability to comply with safety regulations, instructions and risk assessments.
- Must be able to complete pre-start checks on machinery.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of operating a Front-End loading shovel and other heavy plant.
- Previous experience working in a quarry or mining environment would be advantageous.
- Current driving licence.
Hours of Work: 41 hours per week Monday to Friday Dayshift starting 0600hrs.
