POSITION: HEAVY DIESEL MECHANIC
PERMANENT FULL TIME £42,100 per year + optional overtime
Due to continued growth, Irish Salt Mining requires a full-time Heavy Diesel Mechanic at the Kilroot Salt Mine in Carrickfergus. Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman you will be part of an experienced maintenance team in the underground workshop.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Service, troubleshoot, mechanical repairs and basic diagnostics on a range of heavy plant & machinery
- Work with colleagues and other departments effectively
- Record work accurately
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, and ability to comply with safety regulations, instructions and safe systems of work
Essential Criteria:
- Mechanical experience on plant and machinery
- Excellent knowledge of mechanical systems
Desirable Criteria:
- NVQ Level 3 Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
Hours of Work: 41 hours per week Monday to Friday Dayshift starting 0600hrs.
