Lurgan Credit Union Limited is a community-based organisation and a member of the Irish League of Credit Unions, authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. It was established to encourage its members to accumulate savings, making available loans and additional services for the wider benefit of all the membership. This dynamic organisation currently employs 30 staff and is dedicated to developing a range of quality services to its 29,500 members.
Working Pattern: Tuesday – Friday 9.30am until 5.30pm and Saturday 9.30am until 2.00pm
Role Summary: We seek to recruit front line staff to work as cashiers responsible for the day-to-day operation of members' accounts.
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent administration skills with attention to detail.
- Professionalism & confidence to handle member queries to ensure member needs are met.
- Provide a friendly and efficient service in delivering the range of financial products and facilities offered by Lurgan Credit Union to its members.
- Excellent communication skills together with the necessary interpersonal skills for a team environment.
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent including English and Maths at grade 'C' level or above.
- Computer skills including experience of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills both oral and written.
- Recent experience of dealing with customers, face to face, telephone, email and online.
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous experience working in a credit union or other financial organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of GDPR legislation.
- Experience of handling and being responsible for cash and cheques.
