We are seeking a committed and experienced Campus Safeguarding Lead to play a key role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our students across all provision, including 16–19, adult learners, apprentices and HE students. Join Wiltshire College & University Centre as a Campus Safeguarding Lead and play a pivotal role in promoting student safety, wellbeing, and protection across the campus.

What You’ll Do
- Take the lead on all safeguarding matters on campus, ensuring timely and appropriate action
- Provide expert advice, guidance and support to staff on safeguarding concerns
- Manage and support campus-based safeguarding teams
- Work closely with curriculum teams to identify and support vulnerable students
- Make referrals to external agencies including social care, police and Prevent, and attend multi-agency meetings
- Maintain accurate and secure safeguarding records and contribute to reporting and quality assurance
- Promote a strong safeguarding culture, ensuring students feel safe, heard and supported
- Deputise for the Senior Safeguarding Lead as required
What You’ll Bring
- Recent, relevant safeguarding experience, with a strong understanding of safeguarding for both young people and adults
- Experience of managing staff and working in an education or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and multi-agency working
- Confidence in managing complex and sensitive situations, with sound professional judgement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and support others
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload
You will also demonstrate:
- A student-centred, trauma-informed approach
- The ability to work calmly under pressure and maintain professional boundaries
- A commitment to equality, diversity and creating a safe learning environment
Qualifications
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
- Advanced safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain)
