Our software pays 1 in 6 UK employees, supports over 12,000 schools, and is relied on by 91 of the top 100 UK accountancy firms. We're a Great Place to Work® certified employer, recognised for our commitment to well-being, inclusion and development - and we're growing fast.
At iSAMS by IRIS, we're trusted by thousands of independent and international schools around the world to help manage every aspect of school life through our market-leading school management platform. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Training Team Lead (Level 4) to lead our talented team of Training Consultants and help shape the future of learning across iSAMS.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to broaden their leadership experience and make a wider impact within IRIS. Whether you're already leading a team or you're an experienced Training Consultant, Senior Training Consultant or Learning professional who's ready for the next step, this role offers the opportunity to influence how training is delivered, develop a high-performing team and help thousands of schools get even more value from iSAMS.
Working closely with the Professional Services Manager and wider leadership team, you'll play a key role in developing our people, evolving our training offering and supporting one of IRIS' most successful and growing businesses.
Why This Role Matters
Great training transforms customer success. Every day, schools rely on our Training team to help them confidently use iSAMS, adopt new functionality and make the most of our software. As Training Team Lead, you'll help shape what that experience looks like. You'll lead a talented team of training professionals, helping them grow, develop and perform at their very best while continually improving the way we deliver learning to customers.
You'll also play an important role in shaping the future of training across iSAMS, identifying opportunities to improve our learning materials, webinars and digital content as we continue evolving how customers learn. This is a key area of focus for the future of the team.
This is much more than managing a team. It's an opportunity to become a key leader within Professional Services, influencing colleagues, improving customer outcomes and helping shape the future direction of the iSAMS Training function.
About the Team You'll Join
You'll lead a team of around 12 remote-based Training Consultants and Senior Training Consultants, with further growth expected as our Professional Services organisation continues to evolve. Together, the team delivers instructor-led software training, webinars and consultancy to schools across the UK and internationally, supporting thousands of users every year.
You'll work closely with colleagues across Professional Services, Product, Support and Customer Success, giving you genuine opportunity to influence the wider customer journey while working alongside experienced leaders across the business.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead, coach and inspire a team of Training Consultants and Senior Training Consultants.
- Create an environment where people feel supported, challenged and able to perform at their best.
- Hold regular 1:1s, coaching sessions and performance reviews to help colleagues develop and progress.
- Manage day-to-day people leadership, including wellbeing, engagement, performance and career development.
- Plan team capacity and resources to ensure customers receive an outstanding training experience throughout the year.
- Monitor workloads, calendars and utilisation to maximise efficiency.
- Act as the senior escalation point for both customers and members of the training team.
- Help shape and improve training courses, webinars, learning materials and digital learning content.
- Review customer feedback and continuously improve the quality of training delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve team processes, ways of working and operational efficiency.
- Keep the team up to date with new product developments and functionality.
- Support the continued evolution of our digital learning offering and training resources.
- Occasionally deliver training yourself for key customer events or when additional support is required.
