Within our Education Division, we're continuing to grow and are now seeking an experienced Payroll & Pensions Trainer to help develop the next generation of payroll professionals supporting schools and education organisations.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a payroll professional who enjoys sharing knowledge, developing people and driving best practice. As our Payroll & Pensions Trainer, you'll design and deliver high-quality training programmes focused on education payroll and pensions, ensuring our teams have the knowledge and confidence to provide exceptional service to our customers. You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders, delivering training both remotely and face-to-face while creating engaging learning content and supporting continuous improvement across our operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- Designing and delivering payroll and pensions training programmes.
- Providing specialist expertise on Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS), LGPS and education-sector payroll regulations.
- Creating engaging learning materials, guides, assessments and e-learning content.
- Delivering workshops, webinars, classroom sessions and one-to-one coaching.
- Supporting payroll colleagues with complex queries and technical guidance.
- Helping teams stay up to date with payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
- Evaluating training effectiveness and implementing improvements.
- Supporting onboarding, system migrations and business change initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Proven payroll experience, ideally within a bureau, outsourced payroll or education payroll environment.
- Experience delivering training, coaching or supporting learning initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation including PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, RTI and year-end processing.
- Understanding of Teachers' Pension Scheme (TPS), LGPS or similar pension arrangements.
- Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
- The ability to simplify complex payroll concepts for different audiences.
- Professional payroll qualifications such as CIPP or AAT (desirable).
