Improve processes. Drive smarter ways of working. Shape how IRIS evolves. We’re looking for a practical, detail-focused Business Analyst who enjoys understanding how things work, spotting inefficiencies, and helping teams move towards better, simpler processes. If you enjoy working closely with stakeholders, breaking down complexity, and supporting projects that introduce automation, AI and new ways of working, this role offers real impact, visibility, and variety. You’ll play a key role in our Migration programmes and wider automation initiatives, working alongside Project Managers, Business Analysts, third‑party partners, and technical teams to deliver meaningful change across IRIS.
Why This Role Matters
IRIS is modernising how we work, and your analysis will guide where and how that change happens. You’ll help teams understand their current processes, identify what slows them down, and define the improvements needed to deliver faster, more accurate, and less manual ways of working. Your insight will shape new workflows, automation opportunities, and how we implement tools such as RPA. This is high‑impact work that influences colleagues, customers, and the future of our operations.
About the Team You’ll Join
You’ll join our Business Analysis team within Change & Transformation – a group of eight BAs and Senior BAs who support major programmes across the business. You’ll work closely with:
- Stakeholders from multiple departments
- RPA and automation partners
- IT, QA, Change and Project Management teams
It’s a collaborative, supportive environment where clear thinking, curiosity, and problem‑solving are valued every day.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Map and document current‑state processes (as‑is) using BPMN or similar techniques
- Run workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions to understand how teams operate
- Use data to measure manual effort, inefficiencies, and potential returns on improvement
- Define future‑state (to‑be) processes that support migrations and automation
- Identify automation opportunities alongside third‑party RPA partners
- Produce clear PDDs, SDDs and analysis artefacts that guide technical delivery
- Translate business needs into structured, accurate requirements
- Support UAT activity, prepare test cases, track defects and ensure readiness
- Monitor bot and process performance post‑deployment and highlight improvements
- Maintain full traceability from requirements through to delivery
- Support stakeholder communication and change management activities
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who brings structure, clarity and practical thinking to every project – especially when working with complex processes or challenging stakeholders.
You’ll Need
- Strong experience mapping, analysing and improving business processes
- A solid understanding of RPA concepts and how automation is delivered end‑to‑end
- Confidence using Visio, Excel, Confluence, Jira or similar tools
- Experience creating analysis deliverables such as feasibility assessments, RTMs, and UAT scripts
- Clear communication skills with the ability to guide discussions and simplify complexity
- Experience working across multiple teams and functions
- Understanding of Agile and Waterfall methods
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with others
Bonus Experience
- BCS Business Analysis certification (or equivalent)
- Lean or Six Sigma certification
- Exposure to UiPath, Blue Prism or similar platforms
- Understanding of PRINCE2, PMP or other project frameworks
What You’ll Gain
- A key role in shaping IRIS’ migration and automation roadmap
- Opportunities to influence how teams across the business operate
- Support from experienced BAs who share knowledge openly
- A varied mix of projects across transformation, product, and process improvement
- A role where structured thinking, curiosity, and real problem‑solving are recognised and valued
