Our software pays 1 in 6 UK employees, supports over 12,000 schools, and is relied on by 91 of the top 100 UK accountancy firms.

We're a Great Place to Work® certified employer, recognised for our commitment to well-being, inclusion and development - and we're growing fast.

Join Dext and take ownership of tax across a global SaaS business.

Dext is a leading provider of accounting and bookkeeping automation software, helping businesses and accountants work smarter through powerful automation technology. As part of the IRIS Software Group, we operate internationally across the UK, Europe, North America, APAC and South Africa.

We're looking for a talented Tax Manager to join our Finance team and lead tax compliance and advisory activities across our international footprint.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a broad, autonomous role where you'll work across multiple tax disciplines, partner with senior stakeholders, and gain exposure to complex global tax matters within a growing technology business.

What you'll be responsible for

You'll own tax compliance and governance across Dext's global operations, including:

  • Corporate tax, VAT/GST, sales and use taxes, withholding taxes and employment taxes

  • Managing compliance across the UK, US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, France, Bulgaria and South Africa

  • Leading relationships with external tax advisors and reviewing their work

  • Preparing UK corporation tax returns, tax computations and supporting schedules

  • Supporting tax provisions, statutory reporting and quarterly cash tax forecasting

  • Advising the business on commercial and operational tax matters

  • Monitoring legislative changes and assessing impacts to the business

  • Supporting transfer pricing, R&D tax credits and tax governance initiatives

  • Managing tax audits, enquiries and compliance risk

Approximately 20% of the role will involve supporting wider Group tax activities in partnership with the IRIS Group Head of Tax.

About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

Experience in corporate tax compliance
Exposure to multi-jurisdictional tax obligations
CTA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification (or qualified by experience)
Strong knowledge of corporate tax and indirect taxes (VAT/GST)
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
A proactive, organised and commercially minded approach

Experience gained within a Big 4, mid-tier practice, or an in-house tax function would be beneficial, as would experience within a SaaS, technology or high-growth business environment.

Why Join Dext?

  • Own tax across a truly international business

  • Develop your career within a global software group

  • Work alongside experienced tax leaders and senior finance stakeholders

  • Gain exposure to a wide range of technical and commercial tax matters

  • Flexible hybrid working arrangements

  • Opportunity for long-term career development within the wider IRIS Group
