Overview
In this Implementation Consultant role, you guide customers through payroll-focused SaaS deployments from requirements to go-live. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to configure systems, migrate data, and train users, ensuring a smooth transition to ongoing support. The position blends hands-on payroll expertise with technical configuration to deliver impactful, scalable solutions. Responsibilities
- Manage payroll software implementations for new and existing customers
- Translate customers’ payroll processes into appropriate software setup
- Configure SaaS products, workflows and custom requirements
- Support data migration, integrations and testing
- Work with APIs, ETL processes and data transformation as needed
- Guide customers through user acceptance testing and go-live readiness
- Deliver training and clearly explain software to customers
- Support customers during go-live and transition to ongoing support
- Juggle multiple customer projects and priorities
- Collaborate with Sales, Product, Engineering and Customer Success to resolve issues
- Keep customers informed about progress, timelines, risks and issues
- Travel to customer sites when required
Key requirements
- Hands-on payroll experience and solid understanding of payroll processes
- Experience with SaaS/software implementations, onboarding or technical consulting
- Experience working directly with customers to define requirements and implement solutions
- Experience with payroll software or systems
- Understanding of software configuration, workflows and integrations
- Experience with APIs, ETL, data migration or data transformation
- Ability to manage several customers, projects or priorities
- Ability to explain software and technical information in simple terms
- Experience with Salesforce, Jira, Confluence or similar tools would be useful
