Overview

As an HR Advisor in IRIS Education HR Consultancy, you will deliver practical, commercially focused HR guidance to schools, academies, and education clients.

You’ll work with HR Business Partners to manage contracts, policies, recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations, driving value through thoughtful processes and technology.

You’ll train clients, support service delivery, and help shape policy updates in line with legislation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert HR advice across a wide range of matters
  • Support recruitment and people-related processes for schools and education clients
  • Produce and review employment documents and letters
  • Review and develop HR policies in line with law and best practice
  • Assist onboarding of new HR consultancy clients
  • Deliver HR training and workshops (virtual and in person)
  • Assist clients with HR technology and software solutions
  • Build trusted client relationships and maintain agreed service levels
  • Contribute to process improvements and technology-enabled service delivery
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer experience
  • Support project work as a trusted HR partner
  • Key requirements
  • Previous HR experience
  • Understanding of HR principles and people practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, customer-focused problem solving
  • Excellent organisational skills; multi-priority management
  • Attention to detail and methodical approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to learn and stay updated on legislation and best practice
  • CIPD qualification, studying towards CIPD, or equivalent practical HR experience
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites
