A great first step into a professional career. This is an opportunity to start your career in a role that really matters. We’re hiring a Facilities Associate to join our Facilities team. This role is designed for someone at the start of their career who wants to learn how a business operates day-to-day, build confidence in a professional environment, and develop practical skills that can open doors across Operations, Workplace Management, and Health & Safety.
This is a 100% office-based role, where you’ll be working on-site every day as part of a hands-on team that keeps our workplaces running smoothly. You don’t need previous Facilities experience. You’ll be supported, trained, and guided - what matters most is your attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
Why This Role Matters
Facilities plays a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly. The team sits at the heart of the organisation, supporting every department by making sure our offices are:
- Safe and compliant
- Clean, organised, and ready to use
- Fully operational for teams and visitors
- Supported by reliable services and suppliers
Because this is an on-site role, you’ll see the impact of your work in real time - helping create an environment where people can do their best work every day. When this works well, people can focus on their jobs, collaborate effectively, and deliver great outcomes for our customers. Your work will directly improve the day-to-day experience of colleagues across the business - even from your first day.
Why This Role Is a Brilliant Place to Start
Every small task makes a difference. Every well-prepared space supports someone’s work. In this role, you’ll be physically present in the office, helping keep everything running - setting up spaces, supporting day-to-day operations, and making sure everything is where it should be. You’ll learn how a workplace functions, how different teams rely on each other, and how your contribution supports the wider business.
It’s a role where you can:
- Build confidence quickly
- Learn practical, transferable skills
- See the impact of your work every day
Many people use this type of role as a starting point to move into Facilities, Operations, or other business areas over time.
About the Team You'll Join
You’ll join a friendly and supportive Facilities team of five people. The team is known for:
- Helping each other and sharing knowledge
- Taking time to explain how things work
- Supporting new starters as they learn
- Creating a positive and well-run working environment
You’ll also work with teams across the business - giving you great exposure early in your career. This team plays an important role in the business and offers a strong foundation for future progression.
What You'll Be Doing
With training and support, you’ll gradually take ownership of your responsibilities, including:
- Helping keep office spaces clean, organised, and ready for use
- Setting up meeting rooms for teams and visitors
- Supporting basic maintenance tasks and reporting any issues
- Managing access passes for staff, visitors, and contractors
- Booking maintenance requests using simple systems
- Working with cleaning and maintenance providers to ensure standards are met
- Supporting health & safety activities and keeping records up to date
- Helping with office events and general day-to-day tasks
- Providing occasional reception cover when needed
You may also travel between nearby office locations from time to time, depending on business needs. You’ll never be expected to know everything straight away - learning and asking questions is encouraged.
What We’re Looking For
This role is open to people at the start of their career, and we’re deliberately flexible on background. You could be a great fit if you:
- Are leaving education or looking for your first office-based role
- Are happy working on-site in an office environment full-time
- Have some experience of helping people - this could be retail, hospitality, part-time work, or volunteering
- Take pride in doing tasks properly and keeping things organised
- Are reliable and happy to take responsibility
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with others
- Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals
- Are willing to learn and try new things
You don’t need previous Facilities experience. A degree is welcome but not essential. What matters most is your attitude - being dependable, proactive, and open to learning.
What You’ll Gain
A clear and supportive entry point into a professional role, practical, hands-on experience in workplace operations, confidence working in an office environment, training and support from experienced colleagues, exposure to different teams across the business, and opportunities to grow and progress over time.
