We’re recruiting Client Payroll Administrators (Entry Level) to join our Education Payroll Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who are organised, detail-oriented and customer-focused, and who are looking to build a career within payroll or shared services.
You’ll play a key role in supporting Payroll Managers and Team Leaders by ensuring payroll administration is accurate, compliant and delivered to a high standard.
These roles will be recruited via an In-Person Assessment Centre at our Manchester office on Wednesday 18th February 2026 from 10:00 to 15:30. Please only apply for the role if you are available to attend on this date and time and able to start on Monday 2nd March 2026.
What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting the accurate processing of client payrolls
- Managing and maintaining client documentation and records
- Updating documentation for newly onboarded clients
- Maintaining monthly spreadsheets and payroll trackers
- Handling incoming calls and directing queries appropriately
- Verifying BACS and HMRC submissions for accuracy and timeliness
- Completing data entry checks and audit log reviews
- Supporting year-end processes, including distribution of P60s
- Providing general administrative support to Payroll Managers and Team Leads
What we’re looking for:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Good organisation and time-management skills
- A customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills
- Willingness to learn and support a busy payroll function
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous experience in payroll or administration is beneficial but not essential — full training and support will be provided.
