Just a regular guy that hires top talent for one of UK’s largest privately held software companies.
Use your finance knowledge and project management skills to help schools work smarter.
At IRIS Software Group, we create software that helps schools, businesses and accountants run more efficiently. One of our leading education products is iSAMS, used by over 1,500 schools worldwide.
As part of this suite, iFinance is a modern billing and finance system built specifically for schools. It helps bursars and finance teams manage budgets, invoicing and reporting all in one place.
We’re now looking for a Project Manager to join the team and lead the delivery of iFinance projects for new school customers. You’ll be the main point of contact as schools move from outdated finance systems to iFinance – guiding them through planning, setup, and go-live to ensure a smooth, professional experience.
If you’ve managed projects before and have a good understanding of how finance teams work, this could be a great next step in your career.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Manage multiple projects from handover to launch
- Guide school finance teams through each step of their iFinance setup
- Work with internal teams (Sales, Implementation, Product) to keep everything on track
- Coordinate timelines, tasks and communication with each customer
- Identify and solve problems early, and keep stakeholders informed
- Maintain records and share progress updates
- Share feedback and ideas to help us improve how we deliver projects
Who Are We Looking For?
This role suits someone who’s organised, confident working with customers, and has a good understanding of finance processes.
You’ll need:
- Experience managing projects (in software, finance or business systems)
- A good understanding of finance, accounting or billing processes
- Great communication and time management skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Comfortable working across teams and with external clients
Bonus points if you have:
- A finance qualification (AAT, CIMA, ACCA, etc.) or experience working in a finance role
- Experience working with finance software or in the education sector
- Familiarity with school MIS systems (like iSAMS)
- Make a difference to schools by helping them modernise how they manage finance
- Take real ownership of your work and grow your project delivery skills
- Friendly team and supportive environment where your ideas are welcomed
- Flexible hybrid working – office, home, and occasional school visits
- Full training provided on our systems, with room to grow long-term
What Can You Expect From Our Application Process?
We know that exploring a new opportunity is a big decision. Our process is simple, supportive, and designed to help you succeed:
Quick and simple – no long forms.
A friendly chat with our Talent team and two short assessments (CCAT + EPP).
- The CCAT is a quick 15-minute timed test – best completed somewhere quiet with a pen and paper.
- The EPP is untimed, giving you space to work through it comfortably.
A deeper dive into your experience and how you’d contribute to the team.
Meet some of the other stakeholders you’d work with and share your ideas.
If you’re confident managing projects, enjoy helping others, and want to use your finance experience in a rewarding, customer-focused role – we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now and help schools across the UK make the move to smarter finance systems.
