Job Title: Digital Learning Designer Location: Home-based, with occasional travel for meetings Job Description As a Digital Learning Designer, you’ll work closely with the Digital Learning Manager to create engaging, self-led online training content for customers, partners, and staff using IRIS software products. Collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you’ll craft high-quality instructional materials that drive knowledge and understanding. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Digital Learning Manager, SMEs, and the Digital Training Centre Team to define course objectives and scope. Design and develop engaging, goal-oriented training content aligned with business objectives. Write clear, concise instructional copy, audio scripts, and supporting materials for online courses. Capture and edit screenshots, screencasts, and videos to visually demonstrate key concepts. Coordinate with video editors and graphic designers to ensure multimedia elements meet brand and quality standards. Develop learning checks and assessments to measure learner understanding. Upload, test, and organise content within structured pathways on the Learning Management System (LMS). Analyse learner data and feedback to assess course effectiveness and suggest improvements. Follow and refine style guide standards for consistent training content creation. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards. Peer-review content to contribute to quality assurance and standardisation. Stay updated on system enhancements to maintain relevant training materials. Support additional IRIS business needs as required. Person Specification Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Experience creating and developing digital e-learning content. Proven work experience in a SaaS environment and familiarity with LMS platforms. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts succinctly. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities. Proficiency with video capture software (e.g., TechSmith Camtasia or Adobe Captivate) and content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360 or Rise). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
