Location: Cardiff

Salary: Grade SLT1 £80,602 per annum rising incrementally to £83,778 per annum

This exciting and varied role includes supporting the Welsh Congress and our client acting as the senior representative of our client, providing leadership to and overall management of the functioning and administration, delivering our clients policies and work programme in accordance with its constitution and democracy.

We are therefore looking for someone who meets the following criteria:

  • Excellent strategic management, decision making and leadership skills and the ability to network effectively at senior level with a wide range of partner organisations.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the economic, social, political and trade union context of Wales.
  • Commitment to the aims and values of trades unions and Wales.
  • A self-starter with a high degree of sensitivity to handling political issues.
  • Flexibility, versatility and able to balance priorities with demands.
  • Welsh language skills or the willingness to learn.
