Our client is looking for a Gas Heating Engineer to carry out and complete gas appliance installations (the majority of which are gas boiler installations) to Gas Safe and other recognised industry standards.
Deliver the highest standard of work in a way that sustains high levels of performance, quality and customer satisfaction with a right first-time approach. Proactively support their expanding capability in the installation and repair of Air and Ground Source Pump heating systems.
Ensure that an excellent customer focused approach and a right first-time service is delivered in line with agreed budgets and performance targets.
What you'll be doing:
- Undertake gas heating engineering and plumbing duties relating to gas appliance installations and associated works, adhering to manufacturers instructions when installing appliances.
- Undertake the domestic gas installation of new and existing domestic heating systems and related DHW cylinders and control in accordance with the manufacturers instructions, Gas safety Installation and use regulations 1998 act., Part J, Part L and Part P of the building regulations and CDM regulations 2015.
- Provide information to allow records to be updated following service and test and issue Landlord Gas Safety record using electronic or manual documentation.
- Drive company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner and to ensure that the vehicle is maintained to appropriate standards.
- Use a PDA and mobile software to receive and record works, ensuring that all system administration is accurate, up to date, accessible and comprehensive, in line with their procedures, data legislation and regulations.

- Gas related qualifications - Domestic: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1, HWSS1.
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel.
- Experience of working in a gas heating services installations environment and delivering works using a multi skilled approach.
- Completed and spent the required period on a gas apprenticeship (time-served) or significant experience in the gas trade including the installation of boilers, fires, hot and cold-water systems, and full heating systems.
- Relevant experience working in occupied homes.
- Full understanding and application of the gas safety regulations.
- Basic IT skills and prior use or understanding of mobile PDA devices.
