We are currently recruiting for a results-oriented and commercially driven Store Manager to join our client's team based at their Braintree store on a full-time, permanent basis. As Store Manager, you will motivate and lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service and exceed sales targets. You will be responsible for the overall operational excellence and day-to-day running of the store, ensuring sales budgets and brand objectives are achieved. The ideal candidate will be passionate about retail, commercially focused, and driven to exceed targets while maximising profitability and sales performance. You will be a natural team player and effective people manager, ensuring your team acts as brand ambassadors and consistently delivers an outstanding customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing and motivating the team to achieve sales targets.
  • Identifying opportunities for growth and creating clear, commercially viable plans to drive store profitability.
  • Commercially managing the store layout.
  • Developing and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
  • Leading, coaching, and developing the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ensuring operational policies and procedures are followed.
  • Reporting performance metrics and understanding KPIs to improve store results.
  • Recruiting new members of the team when required.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar retail store management role.
  • Excellent people management skills.
  • Results-oriented, commercially aware, and sales-driven, with the ability to perform under pressure.
  • Experience planning and executing stock counts.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to understand and analyse sales figures and performance data.
  • Clear understanding of product merchandising and visual display techniques.
  • Excellent customer service and customer handling skills.
  • Knowledge of current fashion and retail trends.
  • Good IT skills, including experience with EPOS systems and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Flexibility regarding working hours is essential.
