Permanent, full‑time position. Working hours: 35 hours a week, core 10:00-16:00. Hybrid: minimum 6 days a month in office.

The Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK seeks a dynamic Deputy Head of Assessment Governance and Policy to lead a team dedicated to maintaining the high standards of MRCP(UK) examinations. The postholder will work closely with data analysts, policy officers, committee administrators and volunteer clinicians to ensure MRCP(UK) examinations adhere to regulatory requirements and meet academic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a multi‑disciplinary team, ensuring high standards of MRCP(UK) examinations.
  • Deputise for the Head of Assessment Governance and Policy.
  • Oversee key regulatory processes, including appeals, misconduct and reasonable adjustments.
  • Write reports, policy documents and regulations.
  • Attend examining board and committee meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with volunteer clinicians.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in team management and development.
  • Strong organisational skills, effectively prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Track record of successfully managing change.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a similar role (e.g., education or e‑learning) is advantageous.
