£32,000 - £45,000 (depending on skills and experience). We may be able to pay more for a highly experienced candidate. Flexible Working can be considered.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)
Holidays: 25 per year plus Bank Holidays (rising with length of service)

Our client is looking for a confident and competent civil barristers’ clerk to join their Manchester-based Civil clerking team in this expert level role. Working with the Assistant Senior Clerk (Business, Property & Employment), you will be a go-to clerk for their barrister team servicing a wide range of work and clients across the North and beyond. You will work with the wider clerking teams across their four sites, to ensure the delivery of a smooth and comprehensive clerking service to all practitioners in the team and their clients.
At this level they are looking for clerks with sound knowledge and competence in all aspects of diary management and fee negotiation, ideally in this area of law and will encourage development in practice and business development planning and activities.
This role will involve line management of a junior clerk and supervising the clerking team as deputy to the Assistant Senior Clerk. You will benefit from an environment where you can grow your knowledge and experience amongst a large team of experienced clerks.
