About the Role
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Freelance SEO Manager to support our team with critical day-to-day SEO operations. In this role, you will act as the bridge between our SEO strategy and our execution teams (content, design, and development). The ideal candidate has a strong technical SEO foundation, excellent project management skills, and is comfortable working with tools like Jira, Figma, and various CMS platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- EU Translation Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough SEO quality checks on EU translation documents, ensuring accurate localization, checking for missing or broken links, and maintaining regional SEO best practices.
- Design & CMS SEO Checks: Review Figma templates before they are uploaded into our CMS to ensure all structural and on-page SEO requirements are met.
- Metadata Project Management: Take ownership of metadata workflows. This includes downloading and preparing Product Information Management (PIM) sheets, structuring the data, and successfully handing off tasks via Jira to the relevant teams.
- Internal Linking Strategy: Plan, optimize, and map out internal linking strategies to distribute page authority and improve overall site architecture.
- Product Carousel Optimization: Plan and coordinate updates to product carousels to maximize visibility, user engagement, and SEO value.
- Redirect Mapping: Provide hands-on support for redirect mapping during site updates, page migrations, or product URL changes to preserve search equity.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven experience as an SEO Manager, SEO Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of technical and on-page SEO best practices.
- Familiarity with project management software (specifically Jira) and design tools (Figma).
- Experience working with PIM systems, CMS platforms, and managing large datasets in Excel/Google Sheets.
- High attention to detail, specifically when QA-ing content, links, and design templates.
- Experience with international SEO (specifically the EU market) is highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple moving parts across different departments.
