About the Role

As our Inside Sales Manager – HCM, you'll lead a high-performing team of Account Development Executives (ADEs), driving new business growth across our Human Capital Management (HCM) portfolio, including HR, Payroll and Workforce Management solutions. Based in our Manchester office, you'll be responsible for coaching, developing and inspiring your team to consistently exceed sales targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Working closely with Marketing, Sales Enablement, Customer Success and Product teams, you'll develop effective sales strategies, improve team performance and create a culture of continuous development and accountability. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about developing people, driving commercial success and leading from the front within a fast-paced SaaS sales environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Inside Sales Account Development Executives.
  • Drive new business revenue across the IRIS HCM product portfolio, including HR, Payroll and Workforce Management solutions.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop new team members, ensuring they have the tools and support to succeed.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions, call reviews and 1:1s to maximise individual and team performance.
  • Monitor sales activity, pipeline health and forecasting to ensure consistent delivery against targets.
  • Support your team through complex sales opportunities, negotiations and objection handling.
  • Work closely with Marketing to maximise lead conversion and campaign effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Product, Sales Enablement and Customer Success to ensure teams remain informed on new products, market trends and competitor activity.
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Analyse sales metrics and performance data to identify opportunities for coaching and business improvement.
  • Ensure accurate CRM management and reporting across the team.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience leading an Inside Sales, Business Development or New Business Sales team.
  • A proven track record of delivering against revenue targets within a B2B Software or SaaS environment.
  • Experience coaching and developing high-performing sales professionals.
  • Strong commercial awareness with excellent sales coaching, negotiation and objection-handling skills.
  • Experience managing sales pipelines, forecasting and CRM reporting (Salesforce preferred).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing people and driving performance.
  • Experience selling HR, Payroll, HCM or Workforce Management solutions would be highly advantageous.
