- The shift pattern will run on a 2 week rolling rota, which would include:
- Week 1: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
- Week 2: Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday

- Role Responsibilities
- You will be interacting with members of the public, staff, patients, and have the capacity to act with integrity and honesty while treating people with respect in challenging situations.
- Managing access control – for employees, visitors, patients, and contractors.
- To ensure that anyone who is not a member of staff, or a patient has the correct credentials and has an appointment to be entering the hospital
- Ask all visitors to sign in and issue them with keys and passes as appropriate.
- To answer all incoming calls to reception via the Switchboard and to ensure these are responded to politely and efficiently.
- To provide an on-site and off-site alarm response service.
- To support and manage clinically related challenging behaviour.
- To complete comprehensive incident reports and associated assignment documentation.
- To liaise with Police as required for incident management.
- To provide escort duties if and when required.
- To provide general assistance to all staff, visitors and patients in a courteous and professional manner
- The operation of all car parking systems including barrier management and first line response fault fixing, issuing of petty cash and the collections of takings and receipts.
- Report building and equipment defects to ensure remedial action is taken.
- To manage the collection and delivery service for internal and external mail, parcels, supplies, pharmacy items.
- To conduct searches of incoming post and mail in line with the Company’s security search protocols.
- Role Requirements
- A valid SIA licence – Door Supervisor Licence
- Document to prove eligibility to work within the UK if applicable
- SIA CCTV Licence is not essential but useful
- Excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in security
- Be confident working in a hospital environment and be aware that you may come in contact with people who are unwell, vulnerable, or showing signs of distress
- To be able to undertake Physical intervention training
- To undertake any internal training required to adhere to the Company’s search protocols.

- You will be covering hours between 6.30am – 10.00pm.
