Are you an experienced Registered Manager or senior clinician with a strong background in leading high performing teams, looking for a new opportunity to put your mark on an established 29-bed learning disability Independent Hospital? If you have experience working with individuals who present with learning disabilities, autism and or mental illness, complex behaviours and have worked with Positive Behaviour Support plans and want to lead a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team in a specialist hospital setting, then we’d love you to join our team at Pinetree Hospital.
Pinetree Hospital is a 29-bed independent hospital located close to Cardiff city centre and offers accommodation split across single-gender units and bespoke single person apartments. We are proud of the quality of the service we offer at Pinetree. Our priority is to give everyone individually tailored support aligned to the national service priorities of minimising length of stay and supporting the development of sustainable community placements where previous arrangements have been unsuccessful. We have particular strengths in forensic expertise, weaving this into a model of case based around the principles of positive behaviour support and active support. We have developed our own model of active support planning – Building Better Lives.
As the Hospital Director at Pinetree Hospital, you will have overall leadership and management of the service, developing close working relationships with the experienced and established teams, and other external stakeholders and be responsible for the delivery of excellent care and operational performance, whilst continuing to develop commercial opportunities with purchasers and referrers.
Responsibilities- Fulfilling the role of Registered Manager and ensuring adherence to HIW standards and regulations.
- Facilitating the development of quality healthcare services, ensuring that they respond to the changing needs of purchasers and patients and also reflect market trends and evidence-based practice.
- Ensure both financial and quality targets are met.
- Leading the senior management team on site, developing local strategy of the service, ensuring adherence to the service’s objectives, quality improvement and business plans.
- Promote and enhance the hospital’s reputation for high quality outcomes for service users.
- Participate in contract reviews and represent service delivery.
- On call duties.
- Hold a relevant Nursing Qualification.
- Have an excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare sector.
- Have experience and knowledge in Positive Behaviour Support and other modern approaches to evidence-based care and treatment for people with a learning disability.
- Have strong commercial acumen to support successful service delivery and development.
- Have experience of budget control, business development and revenue generation.
- Be an inclusive and supportive manager, balanced with strong leadership to provide direction and implement change.
- Have experience working with external agencies such as HIW, local Safeguarding teams, Commissioning teams.
- Have a commitment to a person-centred approach to deliver high quality services which enable individuals to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
