Responsibilities

  • Provide support in a respectful and dignity‑promoting manner.
  • Support individuals in any suitable location to meet their needs.
  • Communicate effectively using appropriate methods; assist with personal care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of support plans.
  • Assist with household activities.
  • Order, receive, store, and administer medication.
  • Plan, run, and participate in day‑to‑day events of the service.
  • Record and complete necessary documentation.
  • Undertake delegated supervisory management responsibilities and provide leadership to less experienced staff to ensure best care practice and optimal outcomes.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Knowledge/experience/desire to support individuals with mental health, learning disabilities or challenging behaviour.
  • Basic comprehension of English, basic literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE level or equivalent).
  • Ongoing commitment to personal development and training.
  • Preferably hold an NVQ level 3 or have substantial experience in a similar environment.

About You

As a Senior Support Worker you will also undertake delegated supervisory management responsibilities and provide leadership to less experienced staff to ensure the development of best care practice and optimal outcomes for clients.
