Activity Coordinator – Heatherwood Court

Role Responsibilities
As an Activity Coordinator, you will play a key role in enhancing the therapeutic environment at Heatherwood Court. You will work closely with service users and the multidisciplinary team to co‑produce and facilitate a programme of meaningful activities tailored to individual interests and recovery goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building rapport with service users to assess their interests, strengths and needs
- Planning and delivering a range of social, creative, recreational and skills‑based activities
- Promoting personal recovery principles and supporting service users to live the life they want to lead
- Collaborating with the MDT to ensure activities are client‑centred and therapeutic
- Establishing links with local community initiatives in line with the Building Better Lives framework
- Acting as a resource of information and encouragement for service users
- Maintaining accurate records in accordance with Iris Care Group policies
Type of work
This role may include working evenings and weekends as part of a rota.
Role Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
- Experience working in mental health or social care settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A creative and enthusiastic approach to engagement
- The ability to motivate and inspire individuals
- A valid UK driving licence
