Overview
Our client is a well-established organisation delivering major infrastructure and technology change across the UK. As part of continued investment into their internal IT function, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of multiple business change, technology, and digital adoption projects across the business. This role will play a key part in leading the planning, delivery, and governance of these projects, ensuring successful outcomes across scope, budget, quality, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of IT and business change projects, ensuring all outcomes are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans covering timelines, resources and budgets
- Identify and manage project risks, responding quickly to issues and ensuring effective mitigation
- Communicate clearly with project stakeholders at all levels to ensure alignment on progress and delivery expectations
- Foster a collaborative working culture across project teams and internal partners
- Operate with a high level of autonomy while making informed decisions that shape project success
- Navigate complex delivery challenges, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards and relevant regulatory requirements
- Support the adoption of new technologies and modern ways of working across the organisation
- Mentor and support junior team members to strengthen capability across the project delivery function
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong Project Management experience within IT and business change project delivery
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide and influence project teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience working across both internal and external parties
- Broad understanding of IT systems and applications
- Experience within construction, engineering or related industries
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Proactive, delivery focused approach, with strong work ethic and ‘can-do’ attitude.
