Overview

We are supporting a well-established digital agency in Manchester that is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project / Delivery Manager. This is a key role within their largest delivery function, working closely with the SLT to oversee the successful delivery of multiple concurrent digital projects. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, build strong relationships with clients, and ensure projects are delivered smoothly, efficiently and to an exceptional standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project discovery phases, including running workshops, capturing requirements, and producing comprehensive output documentation.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of in-flight digital projects from Discovery to Go Live, ensuring effective project control, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major web, mobile app and CRM projects while coordinating consultants, developers, and other internal teams.
  • Provide strong decision making across multiple work streams to ensure successful Agile delivery to agreed time, budget, and scope.
  • Monitor commercial status and project performance in collaboration with the Chief Delivery Officer.
  • Identify and manage project risks, produce clear status reporting, and maintain strong visibility across all delivery activity.
  • Use Jira to manage project progress and support Agile ceremonies, including acting as Scrum Master for the largest client engagements.
  • Line manage members of the delivery team and promote best practice in project execution and time recording.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working in a digital agency or a client facing technical delivery environment.
  • Proven background managing digital projects of small to medium scale, including requirements gathering, workshop facilitation and client management.
  • Experience leading or mentoring project teams.
  • Strong technical understanding of software delivery, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-changing environment.
  • Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Trello.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on clarity and professionalism.
  • Hands on development or engineering background is a significant advantage.
