Overview:
Our client is a growing group of businesses looking to appoint an experienced IT Project Manager to support the delivery of a range of technology projects across the organisation.
The role will involve managing projects across systems, software and infrastructure, working with different businesses and stakeholders within the group. A key part of the position will also involve supporting technology consolidation initiatives, helping to align systems, improve processes and ensure technology is effectively managed across the wider group.
This is a varied opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who can hit the ground running, take ownership of projects and is comfortable managing multiple priorities across a broad IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects across multiple businesses within the group.
- Oversee projects covering business systems, software applications and IT infrastructure.
- Lead and coordinate technology consolidation initiatives, supporting the integration and alignment of systems across the organisation.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, technical teams and third-party suppliers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage project plans, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Ensure projects are delivered against agreed timescales, budgets and business objectives.
- Provide regular project updates and reporting to key stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve technology processes, systems and ways of working.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years' experience in IT Project Management or a similar technology delivery role.
- Proven experience managing projects across a range of IT disciplines, including systems, software and infrastructure.
- Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders within a complex business environment.
- Strong understanding of project planning, risk management, budgeting and delivery governance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership, manage competing priorities and hit the ground running.
- Previous experience working within a multi-site organisation or group structure.
- Exposure to technology consolidation, systems integration or wider IT transformation programmes.
- Experience managing projects involving multiple business units or recently acquired businesses.
- Relevant project management qualifications such as PRINCE2, APM or PMP.
