Overview:

Our client is a specialist technology consultancy focused on customer experience platforms and AI-enabled delivery, who are now looking to appoint a Developer to join their growing Operations function. This role will play a key part in building customer-facing solutions, internal tooling and automation that enhances delivery capability and team efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain customer facing UI components and Zendesk Guide themes.
  • Build internal web tools and utilities to support configuration, workflow optimisation and AI driven insights.
  • Support the development of Zendesk Messaging experiences including flows, bot behaviours and integrations.
  • Create and maintain CLI tools and scripts to automate configuration, validate data and improve delivery processes.
  • Develop integrations using JavaScript and TypeScript across Zendesk APIs and third-party systems.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to support scoping, implementation and testing activities.
  • Document code, tools and processes to ensure scalability and long-term maintainability.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a front end or web development role.
  • Strong experience working with Zendesk products, APIs and associated technologies.
  • Proficient in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience building integrations using REST APIs and working with modern web applications.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to problem solving.

Desirable:

  • Experience building internal developer tools, CLI utilities or automation scripts.
  • Exposure to AI driven workflows, messaging platforms or chatbot development.
  • Understanding of Progressive Web Applications or similar modern frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a consultancy or client facing environment.
