Job Duties of the Tooling Engineer:
- Strip, clean, service, and reassemble complex tools.
- Inspect newly set machines configurations and approve handover to production.
- Identify tooling issues and collaborate with machinists and external vendors to develop cost-effective repair solutions.
- Communicate effectively with planning, production, and other departments to resolve issues within agreed timeframes.
- Take a hands-on approach to troubleshooting and resolving complex tooling problems.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a cross-functional team.
Skills and Experience required for the Tooling Engineer:
- Previous experience in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline.
- Strong knowledge of materials and processes.
- Experience using lathes, milling machines, and other toolmaking/repair equipment.
- CAD/CAM experience (advantageous).
- Competent using a wide range of tools and handling equipment.
- High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety.
- Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Excel, etc.).
Additional Information for the Tooling Engineer:
- Monday to Friday.
- 08.30 - 17.00.
- Overtime available.
- Up to Β£42,000 Per Annum (DOE).
