iRecruit4 are currently seeking a Sheet Metal Worker with previous experience for our client in Malmesbury! The ideal candidate will be proficient in Sheet Metal Fabrication, assembling, breakpress operation and installing sheet metal products and components in a manufacturing environment. They should possess an understanding of various metals, tools, and techniques involved in sheet metal work. The Sheet Metal Fabricator will play a crucial role in contributing to the quality and efficiency of our projects.
Benefits of the Sheet Metal Worker:
- 40 Hours Per Week - 8.00am-4.45pm Monday to Friday
- £28,000 - £32,000 Per Annum dependent on experience
- 25 Days annual holiday plus Bank holidays

Key Responsibilities for the Sheet Metal Worker:
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Measure, cut, and shape sheet metal to precise dimensions using hand tools, power tools, and machines such as shears, brakes, and presses.
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal components and products according to design specifications.
- Install fabricated products such as ductwork, roofing, siding, and ventilation systems.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct repairs or modifications to sheet metal products as needed.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and contractors to coordinate project tasks effectively.
- Keep accurate records of materials used, hours worked, and tasks completed.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and technologies related to sheet metal work.
The ideal candidate for the Sheet Metal Worker:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or similar role.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of various metals and their properties.
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and shape sheet metal.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and sheet metal machinery.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
- Basic math skills for calculations and measurements.
- Certification or training in sheet metal fabrication preferred.
