Duties of the CAD Engineer:
- Programming 5 axis CNC machines using hyperMILL CAD/CAM software
- Setting and operating CNC machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies
- Producing components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks
- Troubleshooting machining issues and optimising cycle times
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work area
Requirements of the CAD Engineer:
- Previous experience in a CAD/CAM programming role
- Strong CNC setting and operating experience
- The ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- The ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- A positive, reliable, and proactive attitude
Additional Information of the CAD Engineer:
- Monday to Friday.
- Up to £55,000 Per Annum.
