Job Duties of the HGV Class 1 Driver: Daily vehicle checks and defect reporting. May, on occasion be driving a HGV Class 2 (same Rates). Ensuring vehicles are clean and well maintained. Secure loads and ensure safe to travel due to the nature of the product. Delivery to RDC\’s and DC\’s – mostly unloaded but on occasion you will need to unload yourself on to the goods in area. Liaise with the transport office teams with updates while out on the road. Report any issues or problems. Customer facing so presentable, polite and professional at all times. Fuel up vehicle at the end of every shift. May involve collections on return journeys. Average 10-11hr shifts. Hours and Pay for the HGV Class 1 Driver: 04.30 AM Start – Days 17.00 – 22.00 Starts – Nights. Average between 10 – 11 hour shift. Option to work either full time or part time. Weekend Work available. Ad-Hoc weekday work available. Full time weekday work available. £16.30 Per Hour Days. £17.30 Per Hour Nights. £18.30 Per Hour Saturdays. £19.30 Per Hour Sundays. Monday to Sunday operation due to the nature of the business. Additional Information for the HGV Class 1 Driver: Ensuring drivers will be a conscientious , professional and represent the company to the best of their ability. Over 23 years of age. Ideally held HGV Class 1 licence for a minimum of 1 years with experience.
