iRecruit4 are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for a permanent position with a specialist furniture manufacturer in Yate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company producing bespoke, high-quality furniture within a supportive team environment.
If you have a background in upholstery, machine operation or furniture manufacturing and take pride in high-quality workmanship, this role is ideal for you.
Duties for Machine Operator:- Operating machinery and production equipment to manufacture upholstered furniture
- Measuring, cutting and sewing fabrics and upholstery materials accurately
- Stretching, fitting and securing fabric, foam and padding to frames
- Attaching coverings using hand tools, staples, adhesives and machinery
- Working within a fast-paced production environment
- Following company Health & Safety procedures at all times
- Maintaining clean and organised work areas
- Ensuring tools and machinery are kept safe, clean and in good working order
- Handling products carefully to avoid damage
- Working collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines
- Previous experience in Machine Operating or Upholstery preferred but not essential
- Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment beneficial
- Experience operating machinery or production equipment desirable
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow design specifications accurately
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
- £12.21 per hour + Production Bonus (up to 10% monthly after probation)
- Bonus - Up to £200 Extra per month
- Permanent Role
