iRecruit4 are seeking a skilled Machine Operator for a permanent position with a specialist furniture manufacturer in Yate. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing company producing bespoke, high-quality furniture within a supportive team environment.

If you have a background in upholstery, machine operation or furniture manufacturing and take pride in high-quality workmanship, this role is ideal for you.

Duties for Machine Operator:
  • Operating machinery and production equipment to manufacture upholstered furniture
  • Measuring, cutting and sewing fabrics and upholstery materials accurately
  • Stretching, fitting and securing fabric, foam and padding to frames
  • Attaching coverings using hand tools, staples, adhesives and machinery
  • Working within a fast-paced production environment
  • Following company Health & Safety procedures at all times
  • Maintaining clean and organised work areas
  • Ensuring tools and machinery are kept safe, clean and in good working order
  • Handling products carefully to avoid damage
  • Working collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines
Requirements for Machine Operator:
  • Previous experience in Machine Operating or Upholstery preferred but not essential
  • Experience working in a factory or manufacturing environment beneficial
  • Experience operating machinery or production equipment desirable
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow design specifications accurately
  • Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
Hours and Pay for Machine Operator:
  • 7:45am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
  • £12.21 per hour + Production Bonus (up to 10% monthly after probation)
  • Bonus - Up to £200 Extra per month
  • Permanent Role
