iRecruit4 are seeking a detail oriented and technically skilled Quality Engineer to support inspection, compliance, and continuous improvement within our clients manufacturing operations. This role ensures product quality through dimensional inspection, documentation control, and adherence to AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards, must have experience with CMM programming and operation.
Key Duties for Quality Engineer:
- Verify material certification documents against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Program and operate CMM equipment for dimensional inspections.
- Conduct manual inspections using precision measuring tools.
- Prepare and review FAIRs and ISIRs in line with customer requirements.
- Interpret technical drawings, GD&T, and material specifications.
- Record inspection results, report non-conformances, and support root cause investigations.
- Maintain accurate quality records and support internal/external audits.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate with all departments and quality teams to resolve issues and support root cause investigations.
Requirements for Quality Engineer:
- Experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Experience with CMM programming and operation.
- Proficient with precision measuring equipment.
- Experience with FAIR/ISIR documentation (desirable but preferred).
- Formal qualifications in mechanical or manufacturing engineering (e.g., HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent (desirable but preferred).
- Lean or Six Sigma awareness and involvement in continuous improvement activities (desirable but preferred).
Pay & Benefits for Quality Engineer:
- £35k-£50k Salary (Negotiable, dependent on skills and experience)
- Permanent position with progression opportunities.
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: Permanent with a 6 month probation period.
- 8am-5pm Monday - Thursday.
- Early finish Friday - 1pm
- Competitive salary based on experience.
