The Senior Operational Data Steward/Senior Data Quality Specialist supports Clinical Operations within the Data Intelligence for Clinical Operations (DICO) function. The role is responsible for defining and maintaining clinical data governance and data quality frameworks for site and HCP reference data across global Clinical Operations. The position ensures high-quality, standardized, and well-governed clinical data to support trial execution, reporting, and operational decision-making.
What You Will Do:
- Data Governance & Quality
- Define and implement data governance processes, policies, and standards for clinical reference data (sites, HCPs).
- Define and monitor data quality KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards.
- Identify, track, and resolve data quality issues, risks, and inconsistencies.
- Ensure continuous improvement of data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Master Data Management
- Maintain and enhance site and HCP master data across clinical systems.
- Evaluate and integrate internal and external data sources (e.g., DrugDev, internal Sanofi systems).
- Support standardization and optimization of clinical reference data.
- Systems & Data Integration
- Document data sources, systems, and integration flows (CTMS and related tools).
- Support data mapping, metadata management, and system interoperability.
- Contribute to MDM, data catalog, and clinical data platform initiatives.
- Data Migration & Remediation
- Support migration and cleansing of legacy clinical data.
- Ensure readiness of data for trial setup and operational use.
- Improve usability and consistency of historical datasets.
- Stakeholder & Project Support
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, IT, Data teams, and vendors.
- Manage dependencies with Site Intelligence and related initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting on data stewardship activities and deliverables.
- Process Improvement
- Contribute to process optimization and automation initiatives.
- Support AI-driven improvements and reduction of manual processes.
- Participate in change management and user adoption activities.
Deliverables & KPIs:
- Operational data governance framework implemented in clinical data platforms.
- Quarterly delivery of centralized site and HCP data governance outputs.
- Defined and monitored data quality KPIs and dashboards.
- Reduction in data quality issues and improved data consistency.
- Successful migration and consolidation of legacy data.
What you will need:
- Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Data Management, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or clinical data management.
- Experience in Clinical Operations or Clinical Development strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of clinical data flows and data management processes.
- Experience with CTMS and clinical systems (Veeva preferred).
- Knowledge of database structures and data integration concepts.
- Familiarity with MDM, data catalog, and data mapping tools.
- Power BI experience is a plus.
Regulatory Knowledge:
- Understanding of GCP and clinical development processes.
- Awareness of data integrity and regulatory expectations in clinical environments.
