Job Summary: A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Ingersoll Rand direct service team. We need 2 experienced Compressed Air Field Service Engineers who will be responsible for maintenance, breakdowns and commissioning on all makes of Compressed Air equipment, including our own centrifugal compressors. Extensive centrifugal training will be given to the successful candidate. This role will cover the UK & Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- Attend customer sites to perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on all compressed air generating equipment.
- Maintain verbal and written communications with customers, contractors and suppliers in a professional manner.
- Liaise with our technical team and office-based personnel to communicate a clear understanding of specific job requirements, as necessary.
- Build good working relationships with customers to maximise our growth potential.
- Operate in accordance with company Environmental Health and Safety guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical/mechanical systems.
- Extensive product knowledge within the compressed air industry.
- PC literate including use of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Full driving licence.
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:
- Field based position, operating from home with requirements to travel in line with the role.
- Must be willing to travel 75% of the time within the UK region.
- Must be able to travel overseas for training purposes <10>

- Ability to work alone possessing balanced judgement.

- Willing to travel to customer sites at short notice.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the compressed air industry.
- Ability to communicate well and work as part of a team.
