Job Summary: Product Manager to support our Ingersoll Rand Transport Solutions (IRTS) business with specific focus on our Fuel Systems business and the core products of TODO & Emco Wheaton Tank Truck. The role will encompass all elements of Product Management and will focus on delivering a detailed product strategy to achieve significant profitable growth within our Fuel Systems segment. This will require proactive cross-functional collaboration and significant customer interface. This role is considered a valuable member of the Product Line team, and the individual must have the vision, drive, and interpersonal skills to succeed in a growth environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop & lead the implementation of a detailed Product strategy to achieve significant profitable growth.
- Create detailed product definition, business cases and market analysis to support NPD projects.
- Analysis of the current product through the product life cycle.
- Monitoring costs, profitability, sales volumes and market share and identifying activities to provide growth.
- Managing the existing product portfolio through the product life cycle ensuring appropriate products are made obsolete in a controlled way and that appropriate aftermarket provision is available.
- Provide technical support to customers, colleagues and distribution partners to support sales development.
- Within a cross-function team ensure the product development programs are delivered on time and meet the needs of key stakeholders.
- Deliver true “Voice of Customer” feedback into our NPD & Business Plans.
- Understand and communicate the required quality and performance standards to ensure Ingersoll Rand is aligned with the target customer base.
- Manage and implement standard pricing structures that best align with the needs of the key stakeholders.
- Ensure appropriate marketing materials and training programmes are available to support our growth plans.
- Support cost down activities through I2V, providing application insight and market requirements along with data to support opportunities and prioritisation.
Key Competencies:
- Experience within a Product Management role and strong engineering background.
- Knowledge and experience within similar industries, ideally with similar product within the Transport Industry.
- Accustomed to working within an international business.
- High level of commercial awareness.
- Good negotiating and influencing capabilities at senior level.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Team player with good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to solve problems and a “can do” attitude.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work requirements and multiple projects.
