Job Summary: We are seeking an innovative and meticulous Design Engineer to undertake mechanical engineering activities, collaborate with our expert teams, and ensure safe, robust, and value-engineered mechanical designs for our world-leading Ejector systems and process packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake mechanical engineering activities as required for studies, projects, and consultancy.
  • Collaborate as part of the mechanical engineering team.
  • Ensure safe and robust value-engineered mechanical designs for all products and process packages.
  • Perform 3D modelling for Transvac Ejectors, Silencers, and associated equipment.
  • Design full system packages including Ejectors, vessels, structural skid base frames, pipework runs, and pneumatic/electrical hookups.
  • Generate comprehensive design drawings (General Arrangement, Assembly, detailed manufacture drawings, Sub-assembly isometrics, etc.).
  • Generate bills of material for procurement and hydrostatic testing.
  • Interact frequently with various engineering disciplines and departments.
  • Support the Mechanical Department team and check CAD design engineers' and contractors' drawings.
  • Support the Mechanical Design Assurance team.
  • Participate in personal development training including Transvac internal operating systems, health and safety, and quality assurance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Accredited mechanical engineering degree (MEng/MSc preferred, or BEng/BSc with excellent engineering principles).
  • Attention to detail, a curious mind, and creative thinking.
  • Ability to build good working relationships and collaborate effectively.
  • Resourceful problem solver with an innovative mind.
  • Focused on deadlines and targets with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Excel.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
