I’m currently partnering with a highly respected, independent financial planning firm to hire a Senior Client Manager to join their growing team in Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive, client-centric wealth management business managing significant assets for high-net-worth individuals and families. The firm is known for its innovative approach to financial planning, strong internal culture, and commitment to delivering genuinely tailored advice.
The Role
This is a hands-on, client-facing position where you will work closely with Financial Planners while also taking ownership of your own client relationships. You’ll play a key role in delivering complex financial planning strategies, supporting clients with substantial portfolios, and ensuring exceptional service throughout the client journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings alongside Financial Planners and produce detailed meeting notes
- Support the delivery of complex financial planning and wealth strategies
- Manage and develop relationships with a bank of high-value clients
- Conduct research and analysis to support tailored financial recommendations
- Prepare high-quality investment and recommendation reports
- Carry out regular portfolio reviews and ensure client plans remain aligned with objectives
- Oversee the implementation of recommendations in a timely manner
- Act as a technical point of contact within the team, supporting and mentoring junior staff
- Maintain strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry developments
- Work in line with Consumer Duty to deliver the best client outcomes
About You
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent) – essential
- Working towards or holding Chartered status (Level 6) – desirable
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in wealth management / financial planning
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and estate planning
- Experience supporting or working with HNW / UHNW clients
- Confident communicator with the ability to build trust with clients and senior stakeholders
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
