About the Role: As a site trainer, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering training across the departments. The Site Trainer ensures documented training is conducted, recorded, and up to date. This role demands strong leadership, commitment, and excellent communication skills to maintain high standards in training delivery and documentation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Write and update work instructions in line with food quality and health & safety standards.
  • Monitor and update training database and maintain a programme for refresher training.
  • Deliver site inductions covering Health & Safety, Food Safety, Human Resources, site-specific Chemical training, and other site rules.
  • Supervise the Training Administrator in updating and transferring work instructions to system format.
  • Chase outstanding training and maintain training records/logs.
  • Identify training needs and track progress.
  • Observe operational processes to ensure alignment with instructions.
  • Confirm and upload accurate work instructions.
  • Organise training sessions and deliver Chemical Awareness training as required.
  • Maintain accurate records for auditing purposes and liaise with nominated trainers.
  • Create structured on-the-job training and relevant forms.
  • Ensure QA site procedures are filed, logged, and communicated effectively.
  • Align documentation with global and regional policies.

Essential criteria:

  • Train the Trainer Award Level 3 or above (essential)
  • Food Safety Level 3 (essential)
  • COSHH Trained (desirable)

Additional desirable skills include knowledge of CI, proficiency with ILX / Intelex document control systems or similar, strong IT and production process knowledge, and previous trainer experience in food manufacturing.
