Role Overview: The role will be part of the senior leadership team. The role has ultimate responsibility for all quality, regulatory, sanitation and food safety related matters on site. To lead and develop your direct reports and wider quality team to effectively manage the quality function on site. You will be responsible for driving GMP standards within the plant to ensure all products manufactured comply with all food safety, quality and legal requirements.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Proven experience in a quality management role
- Food hygiene level 4 or equivalent
- IOSH Managing safely
- Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems in both low/high care food manufacturing environments
- Highly self-motivated showing strong self-discipline and structured approach to practices and improvements
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to be successful in a changing environment
- Effective communicator and influencer
Desirable:
- Diploma/Degree or higher in a food science related subject
- Food manufacturing experience
- NEBOSH
- Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of lean manufacturing
- Knowledge of H&S Policies and Procedures
- Knowledge of environmental management systems e.g. ISO 14001
