Head of Investor Relations and Business Development

Head of Investor Relations and Business Development

Full-Time On-site
I

A privately held holding company with offices in London and Switzerland. Its management company develops investment strategies in logistics, supply chain and supply chain resilience, across cold storage, temperature-controlled logistics, defence, cryogenics and industrial outdoor storage. A separately held investment company acquires UK and European small to mid-cap businesses as permanent holdings. The firm is now moving into raising and managing its own funds.

THE ENVIRONMENT

A high-velocity environment, working in lockstep with an ambitious group of entrepreneurs. The role flexes around investor meetings, travel and events.

THE ROLE

  • Promote the firm, its strategies and its capital raising to investors and partners, within the firm’s regulatory permissions and with compliance sign-off on investor-facing material.
  • Own communications, social media and brand, including the website, materials and conferences.
  • Plan and run the firm’s and the CEO’s presence across the UK social, sporting and business calendar, from the shooting season to the summer season and key industry events.
  • Look after key relationships personally: who matters, how each is looked after, occasions and gifts, in line with the firm’s gifts and hospitality policy.
  • Manage budgets and costs for events, marketing and projects.
  • Apply AI tools to business development and communications.

THE PERSON

  • Ideally four to seven years’ experience in investor relations or IR-adjacent roles. We are open-minded on background and welcome equivalent experience gained elsewhere.
  • Driven, ambitious, numerate and curious about AI.
  • Polished and articulate in writing and in person, persuasive with senior investors and partners, and completely discreet.
  • Knows the UK social and business calendar well and is at ease organising, attending and hosting at its events.

THE OFFER

  • Base salary of £65,000 to £90,000, depending on experience.
  • Discretionary bonus of 25% to 40% of base.
  • Equity participation, subject to the terms of the firm’s scheme.
  • Based in Mayfair, with travel including to Switzerland. Right-to-work checks apply to all candidates
