Job Overview
The Senior Contracts & Proposals Analyst is responsible for coordinating and managing contracts, proposals, and other designated processes for assigned customers. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and customer-focused documentation, supporting business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day contract and proposal processes for large, complex agreements.
- Serve as the regional expert and key customer interface for contracts and proposals, ensuring consistency in approach, metrics, and format.
- Identify project requirements, resolve discrepancies, and liaise directly with customers.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic direction on projects and initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Support the development and negotiation of Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes and policies related to contracts and proposals.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for assigned customers.
- Participate in bid defenses, customer meetings, and cross-functional task forces as needed.
- Mentor and support colleagues, offering guidance and sharing best practices.
- Contribute to the achievement of corporate goals, including revenue, sales, and employee retention.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Business Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in contracts or proposals, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the CRO (Contract Research Organization) industry.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong understanding of costing models.
- Excellent understanding of contract, proposal, and budget processes.
- Ability to interpret complex budgets and protocols.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, and customers.
