As a senior member of the UK Analytics and Advisory Services team, you will work directly with life sciences clients as a trusted partner, helping them navigate complex strategic, technological, and operational challenges. You will shape and deliver high-impact consulting engagements for senior stakeholders, building deep client intimacy through insight-driven dialogue, proactive partnership, and consistent delivery excellence.

In UK AAS we have several practice areas that address our clients’ most strategically important commercial business challenges. The HE/HTA practice enables affiliate clients to translate HQ-defined strategy and evidence needs into best-in-class evidence strategies and HTA submissions that will secure favourable pricing, reimbursement, and access outcomes. You will work with other IQVIA experts to drive innovation, offering development, business development, and GTM materials for our Health Economics (HE) and Health Technology Assessment (HTA) solutions. You will be accountable for driving client satisfaction, identifying new opportunities, and achieving or exceeding assigned revenue targets.

This role will focus on expanding our UK HE/HTA business. It's a high-visibility opportunity to join a dynamic team, where the right candidate will find the pace and opportunities as energising as we do!

As a Principal within the HE/HTA/V&A Practice, your main focus is to deliver outstanding client service, while building trusted relationships with existing and new clients that enhance our brand and reputation in the business. Success will be measured by your ability to work directly with clients to develop business opportunities and deliver projects at high levels of client satisfaction.

Accountabilities
  • Take ownership of UK client relationships, lead proposals and business development activities to secure projects from UK clients to support their local HTA needs, i.e., NICE and SMC submissions.
  • Take responsibility for revenue targets for UK health economics and HTA offerings.
  • Lead the project delivery teams as Principal-in-Charge (PIC), ensuring UK HTA projects are completed on time, to the appropriate quality, on budget, and at the expected profit margins.
  • Contribute to team building including interviewing, mentoring and training juniors, and activities to motivate and retain staff.
  • Provide technical training sessions on UK HTA requirements and advancements, coach and mentor junior and senior team members.
  • Represent IQVIA in public through participation in conferences and symposiums.
  • Promote and advance the internal and external team profile through contributions to thought leadership, methods development/application and academic collaborations.
  • Lead collaborations with other business areas and functions of the organisation to deliver client services and drive the development of new offerings.
Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • MPH, MSc or PhD (or an equivalent degree) in health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in designing and executing health economic studies and leading clients through UK HTA processes.
  • Experience working at management level with responsibility for leading business initiatives and teams.
  • Deep knowledge of UK HTA requirements and approaches in health economics.
  • Expert understanding of the use of health economics and modelling for HTA.
  • Experience with AI/ML is a plus.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, identify client pain points, and develop custom solutions targeted at HE/HTA stakeholders.
  • Already have an established network of contacts in the UK’s pharmaceutical industry, academia and/or HTA bodies.
  • Strong consulting and client engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and to build and manage relationships in a multi-cultural environment.
  • History of successful project management, including client negotiations, contracting experience and scope management.
  • Prior experience working in a consultancy, CRO or life sciences company.
  • Ability to speak clearly and fluently, demonstrating a logical, structured approach, adapting to the needs of the situation and audience, ensuring strong two-way communication.
  • Ability to write clearly and succinctly, adapting style and content to meet the demands of the situation and audience. Communicates clearly and effectively, using well-structured, logical arguments and avoiding unnecessary technical or complex language.
  • Understanding of the flow of money and resources through an organization, seeking to achieve commercial objectives such as profitability to ensure competitiveness and success.
