Responsibilities

As a Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of projects in the field of patient-centered research, specifically in mixed-methods research, survey science, and implementation science, and for developing and communicating strategic insights and recommendations to clients. In your day-to-day role, you will collaborate directly with IQVIA’s senior leaders and independently manage client relationships on each project. This role emphasizes hands-on scientific leadership, project delivery excellence, and growing external visibility. You will typically oversee 3-6 projects at the same time.

Your role will include:

  • Acting as the day-to-day manager for a portfolio of consulting projects with responsibility for project delivery and client relationships
  • Coaching and directing junior team members
  • Developing a broad knowledge of patient science and how it addresses client needs for evidence generation and dissemination, regulatory and market access strategy
  • Expanding your expertise in mixed-methods research and survey science while supporting survey design, item development, response scaling, cognitive testing, and item reduction
  • Partnering with scientific team members to develop study material and conduct patient-centered research including guiding teams on mixed-methods approaches to integrate qualitative and quantitative findings in a coherent and decision-oriented manner
  • Integrating results from research and analysis workstreams into strategic recommendations
  • Creating reports, presentations and facilitating workshops
  • Contributing to business development and assisting with, or leading proposal development
  • Supporting people-related activities such as recruitment, training and development
  • Leading special initiatives such as knowledge management and process improvement
  • Mentoring 1-3 junior team members

Essential experience, skills and education required

  • An advanced academic science degree in public health, epidemiology, psychology, sociology, medical anthropology, health economics or another related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in at least 1 of the above fields
  • Previous experience in strategic consulting and client services
  • Advanced knowledge of COA/PRO, mixed-methods and survey science
  • Advanced knowledge of the healthcare regulatory processes and international payer systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presenting, facilitating meetings and workshops, and report writing
  • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • An ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in multi-disciplinary and international teams
