About the Role
We are seeking a Consultant to support the delivery of cutting‑edge AI projects in the Life Sciences R&D space, with a focus on Clinical Development Optimization. In this role, you will be responsible for leading defined workstreams, developing high‑quality client deliverables, and supporting the day‑to‑day execution of AI‑enabled consulting engagements. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working close to data and models, and turning analysis into clear client‑ready insights. You will work closely with Managers, Associate Principals, and Principals, contributing to both the analytical and operational success of client projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Workstream Leadership & Execution: Own and deliver one or more defined workstreams within larger AI‑enabled client engagements. Translate engagement objectives into clear analyses, models, and deliverables. Develop high‑quality client materials, including analyses, slide decks, technical documentation, and recommendations. Manage day‑to‑day execution of assigned tasks, ensuring work is delivered accurately, on time, and to a high standard. Proactively identify issues, risks, or dependencies within your workstream and raise them early to engagement leadership.
- Applied AI & Analytics Delivery: Contribute directly to the development and application of AI/ML solutions related to clinical development simulation and optimization. Work with real‑world data (RWD), clinical trial data, and other structured and unstructured data sources. Support development of PoCs, ML pipelines, simulation outputs, and analytical insights under guidance from technical leads. Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure outputs are analytically sound and aligned with client needs. Help operationalize emerging foundation AI simulation capabilities into client‑ready use cases and deliverables.
- Client & Team Collaboration: Engage directly with client team members in working sessions, reviews, and problem‑solving discussions. Support preparation for client meetings, including analysis, materials, and clear articulation of insights. Coordinate closely with Managers and Engagement Managers to align workstream delivery with overall engagement goals. Provide informal guidance and task coordination for 1–2 junior consultants or scientists, where applicable.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Must‑Haves:
- 2–5+ years of experience in Consulting, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related delivery‑focused role.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems.
- Working familiarity with AI/ML concepts (e.g., supervised learning, generative AI, foundation models), with a willingness to learn quickly.
- Experience creating client‑ready deliverables (analyses, slides, models, written outputs).
- Comfortable working in fast‑paced, ambiguous project environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ownership of work quality.
Nice‑to‑Haves:
- Prior experience at a consulting firm or in a client‑facing AI/ML role.
- Background or experience in Life Sciences, healthcare, or clinical data–driven environments.
- Exposure to clinical trial data, real‑world evidence (RWE), or clinical development use cases.
- Experience working alongside data scientists or engineers on applied AI projects.
- Experience rapidly developing software prototypes with language-model assisted software development tooling (i.e. Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, others).
