Drive Commercial Performance Through Data, Insight and Innovation

IQVIA is seeking an experienced Commercial Excellence Lead to join a dedicated European business unit supporting an innovative Immunology & Inflammation portfolio.

This is a unique opportunity to shape commercial strategy through analytics, customer insights and sales force effectiveness.

Working at the centre of a multi-country commercial organisation, you will partner with senior leaders across Commercial Operations, Marketing, Medical Affairs and client stakeholders to optimise customer engagement, improve field force performance and drive business growth.

As Commercial Excellence Lead, you will own the commercial performance framework, leveraging CRM analytics, customer segmentation, targeting strategies and incentive programmes to support data-driven decision making across multiple European markets.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead Commercial Excellence Strategy
  • Drive Commercial Excellence initiatives that improve customer engagement, field force effectiveness and business performance.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to translate business objectives into measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for sales force effectiveness, targeting and commercial analytics.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision making.
  • Own CRM, Analytics and Insights
  • Lead CRM analytics and reporting across multiple countries and therapeutic areas.
  • Monitor customer coverage, productive frequency, targeting effectiveness and field force performance.
  • Develop and enhance dashboards, scorecards and reporting frameworks that support strategic decision making.
  • Transform complex datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Drive Targeting and Segmentation Excellence
  • Lead customer segmentation and targeting strategies across multiple markets.
  • Coordinate hyper-targeting initiatives and ensure consistent adoption across brands and countries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer prioritisation, resource allocation and customer engagement approaches.
  • Monitor effectiveness of targeting strategies and recommend enhancements.
  • Lead Incentive and Performance Management
  • Design and manage incentive programmes that support business objectives and desired field force behaviours.
  • Establish key performance indicators and support target-setting activities across markets.
  • Monitor achievement against agreed objectives and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Evaluate programme effectiveness and recommend enhancements.
  • Lead Business Reviews and Strategic Performance Discussions
  • Deliver regular business reviews for leadership teams and key stakeholders.
  • Present performance trends, customer engagement insights and sales force effectiveness metrics.
  • Identify opportunities, risks and improvement areas through analysis of commercial performance data.
  • Support planning and forecasting activities through robust analytical insights.
  • Partner Across the Organisation
  • Work closely with Commercial Operations, Marketing, Medical Affairs and Training teams.
  • Support implementation of customer engagement strategies and business priorities.
  • Translate insights into meaningful actions that improve execution and commercial outcomes.
  • Influence stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in Commercial Excellence, Sales Force Effectiveness, Commercial Analytics or Commercial Operations within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology or healthcare industry.
  • Strong experience working with CRM systems, reporting tools and business intelligence platforms.
  • Expertise in customer segmentation, targeting and performance management methodologies.
  • Experience designing or supporting incentive compensation programmes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence strategic decision making.
  • Experience operating in complex, international and matrixed organisations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
