Active in more than 20 countries, FAST Heroes teaches children to recognise stroke symptoms and share that lifesaving knowledge. We are looking for an energetic Events & Individual Giving Manager to lead our UK and international fundraising events while building a national school‐based fundraising programme. You’ll design, test, and refine individual giving strategies in the UK and then empower our international FAST Heroes agencies to roll out fundraising as part of their school activities.
Your responsibilities include delivering high‐quality events (from local community gatherings to premium international events), developing school fundraising resources, stewarding supporters, and helping families, teachers, and communities engage with our mission.
If you’re creative, organised, confident presenting to diverse audiences, and excited about building a new global fundraising stream from the ground up, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Events (UK & International)
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver high‐quality fundraising events across the UK.
- Lead the planning and execution of premium international fundraising events (e.g., Monaco).
- Manage event logistics, vendor relationships, budgeting, risk procedures, and supporter communications.
- Develop new event concepts aligned to schools, families, ambassadors, and corporate partners.
- Represent the organisation professionally and confidently at all events.
- School‐Based Individual Giving
- Develop and launch a national school fundraising programme aligned with the FAST Heroes academic cycle.
- Design, test, and refine all individual giving strategies in the UK first, ensuring the model is evidence‐based and scalable.
- Create fundraising resources for teachers, children, and families.
- Support participating schools with communication, materials, and ongoing engagement.
- Build supporter journeys that convert school engagement into recurring individual giving.
- Train and support international FAST Heroes implementation agencies, equipping them with toolkits, training, and guidance to embed school‐based fundraising in their local rollouts.
- Act as the central point for sharing best practices across countries.
- Supporter Engagement & Community Building
- Steward UK individual donors (up to mid‐value level).
- Produce impactful stories, donor updates, and supporter communications.
- Recruit and support local fundraising ambassadors.
- Experience in events fundraising, event management, education engagement, or community fundraising.
- Strong project management, organisational, and multitasking skills.
- Confident communicator and presenter; comfortable engaging with schools, families, and international partners.
- Creative problem-solver with the ability to design scalable fundraising initiatives.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with international teams.
- A role with both national and international reach.
- Flexibility and autonomy to build new fundraising programmes.
- A supportive, mission‐driven team environment.
- Opportunities for international travel and professional development.
